Back to Louisville

We thought Sunday morning would be a lazy morning inside as we got ourselves prepared to go to Louisville to tie up a few loose ends and see Avi and David again. However, we soon discovered that I had completely deleted the spreadsheet that we were using to keep up with our itinerary and reservations! Fortunately, I still had a version from January that had the basic bones of what we needed. We spent the next few hours carefully going through our paper and electronic records to reconstruct the necessary information. As a result, we found a few segments of our trip where we needed to remove some nights camping (it is really hard to get reservations inside national parks, so there were a few places that I reserved more days than I was sure was necessary - now that we are on the trip and our schedule is firmer, I needed to release those dates). The best part is that we stayed calm and non-blaming through the whole process.

We made our way to Louisville mid-afternoon and stopped by Target for a few things before we arrived at their house around 4:00. We had a nice dinner at /por/, which had tapas. We shared several dishes, but my favorite was the Thai Brussell sprouts - flash fried Brussels that were then dressed in Thai chili sauce - yummy! Then we got ice cream at a local place, Sweet Cow. Leon and I shared a triple scoop in a waffle cone with these flavors: Gingersnap Molasses, Oatmeal Cookie, and Cookies & Cream. We love this ice cream place so much that we bought a sticker to go on our cooler, along with all of the place and parks stickers we have.
