This morning, we completed our entrance into Juneau through the 18 mile Gastineau channel. This is always a favorite as there are some wonderful waterfalls you can see as you approach town. Leon was up early, and he spent an hour in the Crow's Nest until Haley got up and joined him. We both enjoyed 45 minutes in there before a crowded breakfast in the Lido. We decided to enjoy another boat day today and visit Juneau on our return voyage. Leon did a spa cycle then we went back to a now empty Crow's Nest to catch up on our blog.
Lunch was leisurely in the Lido, since most of the passengers had gone ashore. We enjoyed lunch in the Lido, but Leon's was a step below previous great meals as he had a chicken Caesar salad and pesto pasta.
For the rest of the afternoon, we diddled around the ship and in our room. We spent time in lounges, the game room, and the thermal spa. It eventually started raining so any thought of outdoor activities went out the window. This was the first rain for the trip, but it has been quite cool with temps in the low 50's most of the time.
We enjoyed more lounge time before dinner then had halibut in the dining room for dinner. We enjoyed the jazz band after dinner and retired to bed.

The Alaska special was halibut - so delicious! |

The dining room entrance always has gorgeous flowers as you enter. |

Picture of Juneau from the ship - we plan to explore here on the cruise back to Vancouver in 2 weeks. |
